Supporting Macie

My dearest friend, Macie, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma cancer on January 8, 2014. Since then she has had 4 surgeries and her 3rd baby, Miss Evie was born on Feb. 3. Evie was delivered 3 weeks early so Macie could start her 6-month journey of chemo treatments (she's going for treatment #4 next week).
Macie is a mother of 3 (all under the age of 4), a wife, a sister, a daughter, and most importantly a precious child of our Father in Heaven. Macie and Ken both share a HUGE Faith in our Lord and are relying and praying to Him daily to bring complete healing to Macie, to give them a peace that surpasses all understanding, a strength to get the family through the next 6 months, and for this situation to bring Glory to His name.
The Knight family has been showered with love over the last few months... and just as a friend looking in on the situation, I see God's hand protecting their family! People have been bringing family dinners, a group of ladies have volunteered to clean her house on chemo treatment days, her mom has moved to NC to help take care of the kiddos and Macie, and many friends are helping babysit to give Macie time to rest.
One area that I know they could use some help in is with their medical bills that are starting to build. We are trying to raise $8,000 to help cover medical expenses which include chemo treatments, prescriptions, traveling to and from Baptist Hospital in Winston, etc. (unfortunately their health plan started over in March so they get the 'opportunity' to max out 2 deductibles/maximums)..so it's kind of like a perfect storm of unexpected expenses.
I know there are people that have been asking how they can help or want to do something for Macie. Please join me in trying to relieve some financial stress, so Macie can focus on what's most important...Healing and Recovery!
God works through so many people in so many ways, and I asked Macie to let me organize this site for her, so God can bless her through this effort. Every little bit will help and I truly believe one of the biggest blessings and encouragements for Macie is seeing so many people love on her and pray for her.
