Dear Friends,
Many of you know that I have breast cancer that spread to my spine. In 2014 I went through low-dose chemo treatments at the Natural Horizons Wellness Center , which is considered "alternative" and isn't covered by insurance. I chose this option because I believe the low doses of chemo are less damaging to the body and honor the body’s ability to heal. I'm immensely grateful to all of you who donated to make those treatments possible.
The treatment reduced a significant amount of the cancer, and my doctors felt that the remaining cancer could be treated effectively with long-term Western methods. These methods weren't as effective as I'd hoped, and the cancer growth has returned, requiring more aggressive treatment.
I'm returning to the center to get this cancer into remission. The treatment is effective -- and costly. I'll be grateful for any contributions you can provide to make it possible for me to afford the treatments. Please give $1,000, $500, $100, $50, $25, $10 -- or whatever you can afford.
