Trey Butler is Experiencing the hardest thing he has ever done. After almost 6 years of being bound in addiction of alcohol and under in influence of medication for Panic and Anxiety. He has taken the step to break the chains of addiction and the hold that they devil is trying to bind him with. We are believing in the RESTORATION that God is completeing in his life at the very moment. He is New, and Alive in Christ- and just in time <3
It was after one LONG, VERY DARK night, that Ashley Butler stood in her husbands face as he glared at her with much pain/anger. The devil thought he was winning- but fighting with every ounce of the Holy Spirit in her, she rebuked the devil and called him out of her husband. She defended with the Armour of God. The very next day, while she was at work- Trey Butler, checked himself into Detox for 5 days, and then got on a plane to go 800 miles away to The Hope Center in Dickson, Tn. A place where he has never been, a state that is foreign to him, and no one he knows there. That was 5 months ago on April 3,2016. Today, he is doing awesome. He is serving at church, doing ministry for the homeless and children, being a light in the darkness that he was once in, and just letting Christ do a magnificant work in him. Day by Day he presses on. The Hope Center is a non- profit faith based recovery program. So it is all self- funded through Sponsors and Donations. The cost is $550 a month, and the program is 8 mths long. God has provided a way each month. It has truly been amazing. We are still in need of the last few months for Trey's tuition, along with essential things he needs while he is there. (Toiletries and such) As well, as help to help Ashley and Gabriel visit.
Every Week Local families get to visit with thier loved ones that live there. Sometimes the ones that live local get to see them 3-4 times throughout the week.
**Since Ashley and Gabriel (Trey's Wife, and 9 year old Son) live in Florida where they are all from; it is difficult to visit. Expenses are very overwhelming when you are doing it by yourself, and have regular responsibilites. So far she has made it once a month. Even though while they are there, they only get to see him for 8 hours total over two days, it is the MOST PRECIOUS 8 hours to them. (Hopefully it will be more time)
Ashley works 40hrs a week, takes care of Gabriel and her senior mother full time, and is devoted to her church, and ministry. She survives on just enough to get by, and what God blesses her with to keep going.
I have started this page to ask those who believe and support Recovery. Who is for Recovery, who knows what its like to be in Recovery, or maybe knows someone who needs Recovery.... that knows the hard road that it can be. Who supports someone who is trying to restore their life, and who supports the family that stands by there side. Who knows what its like to be a single mother or father, who knows what its like to be away from thier spouse or parent. Who just wants the addict to know they will stand with them for Restoration and Renewal through Jesus Christ.
Every little bit counts. It can make all the difference in thier lives right now. It will support the recovery, and support the restoration of this family. It will help a little boy see the change in his dad, and recognize, and give glory to God!! It will provide the marraige just a little bit of restoration- and love through visits. It will just make all the difference.
