Lend a helping hand to Ethiopia...

Dear family and friends,

I decided that I would write a brief letter to everyone that stumbles onto this page hoping to share my personal experiences in life and mainly the reason why I am doing this. My name is Megan Nguyen, for those that don't know me. I have been a nurse for almost 2 years and believe it or not it was a tough and emotional roller coaster many days. Nursing is my passion, and the other would be to help others in need. I am sure everyone has a passion in life and helping others is what makes us feel good about ourselves as well. As a little kid, I knew that is something I always wanted to do, to help assist in a medical mission. Never in a million years did I think that this would come so soon. I always thought it was a matter of time or in my future plans but never this soon. It wasn't until New Year 2014 that I decided this is the year to do even more. This is the year to challenge myself and turn what I call my passion into reality by reaching further. I want to reach to the other side of the world and help in every way. Even if I am there for a week or two, I want to make that change for those people. What may seem like ten minutes to me could impact them for the rest of their lives. This is my opportunity, and yours as well. I want to encourage and challenge everyone to please step into this journey with me. Please think of those days when we can wake up to our loved ones or a warm home, and remember the individuals that are suffering for just a moment of what we may have. We live in a very privilege country and we don't always know it. This is the time, so I want to ask everyone to please lend their helping hand. We can make a difference and any sort of donations is more than appreciated. Please support me in this journey and donate any amount you feel meets your comfort zone.
