Derek was diagnosed with stage four Hodgkins Lymphoma in October 2008, two weeks after marrying the love of his life, Kaela. In July 2009, they welcomed their son, Camden, with Derek receiving his first bone barrow transplant just a few weeks later. Derek has continued to battle his cancer enduring radiation, chemotherapy, and another transplant, all with an incredible attitude, and a smile on his face.
Derek is currently in the ICU on a respirator because he is battling a fungus in his lungs, the paraflu, and pneumonia all with a weakened immune system, and is unable to breathe on his own. Please help his family out during this difficult time.
