Chinelo's Mission Trip to Uganda

Donation protected
Every journey of faith begins with one step. I am on a journey of faith that is guided by my heavenly Father. This journey has called me to step outside of my comfort zone and spread the Word of God to the people of Uganda.  Join me in my journey by supporting me through prayers and financial support.

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me, therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

My Story:
I went on my first missions trip when I was 16. When I looked at my current situation at that current time, it was not understandable why God would use who I was at that time to conduct His work. I knew God, knew He loved me, even knew His word. But as your typical teenager, I did not always understand His promises.

My first trip allowed me to see Gods promises in real life like never before. I participated in the community feed - feeding the children in the village we were in, medical missions -bagging medicine as instructed by missionary pharmacists who were a part of the team, holding vacation bible school style lessons about Jesus and His love with the Acholi children. I also had the distinct pleasure of spreading the gospel and playing with the children at the Jesus Village orphanage with orphans from Gulu, who loved God despite their circumstances.

When I got to the airport, as I began my journey back to the U.S., I literally broke down in tears. There were so many people that were not reached in my 10 days in Uganda. There were so many children who just needed someone to hug them, play with them, laugh with them. There were so many children who simply needed to know that God loves them so much, that He sent His Son to die for them. But I had to go home, back to the comfort of my home, my "reality" ,while orphans as young as 12 raised their siblings.

My first trip fueled me to go on my second trip when I was 17. In America, we often take for granted some of the simple pleasures of life such as our parents, clean water, or the ability to serve God without boundaries.

I am going back because missions work is my responsibility as a Christian. I am going back because I believe wholeheartedly that God is calling me to take the love of God to those who have not heard it or felt it. I am going back, not because I want to, but because I need to. I am a faithful servant of Christ and I am fulfilling His calling in my life.

Matthew 25:40 - "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did it to me"

“And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation
