Sierra Lewis, owner of New Origin Shop and Fredric Lewis, owner and designer for Soul Rebel Jewelry are siblings born and raised in Baltimore, MD who are now based in Austin, TX. New Origin Shop is a lifestyle brand that was made to provide unique and affordable selections to shoppers who are eager to support independent makers and small businesses. One of those small businesses would include Soul Rebel Jewelry, a brand with the goal to offer versatile pieces with character. Something that will definitely tell a story. A piece that will set you apart, in a bold yet simple-chic way.

Since she was 17, Sierra has always dreamed of owning her own boutique one day. What started as a means of self-expression by crocheting minimal, stylish reusable bags evolved into opening her Etsy shop in 2017 and eventually the launch of her website. Fredric has always had a creative and unique eye. Going from being a photographer, to the start of creating jewelry by using lava stones and elastic cord was the humble beginning of him creating his jewelry brand in 2012.

Now, New Origin Shop and Soul Rebel Jewelry have collaborated to open a shop here in Austin! Still staying true to our missions of prioritizing products with low environmental impact while still making big contemporary statements, we plan to not only sell and showcase local artisan brands but also host workshops and events to help promote these local brands. We’re looking for support from our community to help our businesses grow!

We’ve leased a space that has so much potential, but requires a lot of TLC. We’re turning to you, our community, for donations to help take our online presence and bring it to life! Every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated. We’ll be accepting donations until 09/10/21 in hopes of reaching our humble goal of $3500 to help with start up costs and utilities, painting, re-lighting, furnishing, and hopefully if the goal is exceeded we’ll be able to invest in more local brands, workshop materials, and other inventory expenses!
