Help support The Sattler's who are overcoming an extremely difficult time in their lives after losing everything in a destructive house fire.
Stop and think for a brief moment. Imagine this. Imagine going to sleep one night being thankful for the warm bed you have to rest peacefully in, for the hot shower you were able to take prior to getting into bed, to wake up in the morning and cook yourself a delightful breakfast in your own kitchen, to open a closet full of choices in what to wear that day, to relax in the comfort of your own living room, to be able to walk through your hallways reminiscing on all of the memorable picture frames you have hanging up, and to be thankful to have a beautiful home in which these events take place in. These are just a few of the simple things that we forget to be thankful for each night and possibly take for granted way too easily. So, stop and think again. Now imagine this. Imagine waking up one day to realize that all of these things you had to be thankful for were no longer present, that all of these things were suddenly taken away from you in the blink of an eye. Imagine going to sleep one night knowing you have everything you may ever need only to wake up to realize you now have nothing but the clothes on your body and the support of your family and friends to help you start all over again....
Very dear family friends of ours, Chris, Joan, Jennifer and Nicole Sattler, had their lives turned upside down due to a devastating house fire in the frigid temperatures on January 24, 2014 in Long Beach, NY. Thankfully everyone was safe. However, the fire demolished their home completely, leaving this family with nothing but one another. Everything from monetary to emotional value was taken from them in a matter of minutes. Although we may not be able to help them replace some of the most meaningful things, such as pictures and memories, it would be wonderful if we could help them replace some of the day to day necessities, starting with a home.
As some of Jennifer Sattler's very close friends since Pre-K we have grown to stick together through the good times, as well as the bad times. Unfortunately this is one of the bad times. The group of us decided to make this fundraiser page, as a small way of reaching out to help this family in need. Aside from being a group of very close friends, we were all blessed to grow up in such a closely connected community; Long Beach, NY. This community is known for helping people in need during extremely difficult times and this is one of those times! Any amount of donation will be more than helpful for this family. Please help support and raise money for The Sattler family as they begin to face an unexpected and very difficult journey in piecing their life back together!
