Ongoing Research & Medical Bills

I shortened up my story and added some updates! Thanks for taking the time to read it and for the ongoing support.

October 2013-I was found by my dad, unresponsive one morning and taken to the hospital..spent a couple days in ICU and then moved down and spent a couple more days. I was unable to move my legs for a few days, but fortunately I got feeling back and was able to walk. From October to January I spent most of time at doctor’s offices, Cleveland Clinic and getting tests done to try and figure out what happened in October and why I still felt ill.

January 2014-Went to bed on a Friday night feeling really bad, was taken to the hospital on Sunday, and from this point on, I have not been able to walk. January-February-Spent 5 weeks in the hospital-I had:
Renal failure, had dialysis for a week and Pulmonary Edema. Even after all the time here and all the tests done, they still had no diagnosis.

Since being out of the hospital in February, I have seen several different doctors and specialists, physical therapist, and have had more tests than I can even count at this point. My last appointment was with a neurologist, she did three MRI’s, and at my appointment last week she simply said “ I have no idea what is wrong with you.” She has decided to send me to National Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Neuromuscular department.

As for how I am doing: I still have no use of my left foot, I have what they call “drop foot,” and it just hangs down and often is a purplish-blue color. Both feet tingle and hurt all the time, and I get very severe shooting pains and muscle cramps fairly often. Because of this, I now spend 90% of my time in a wheelchair to get around. It takes every bit of energy I have to take care of my children and myself, and it takes a lot to recoup after doing these things.

My 2 amazing little girls have been so strong thru all of this. They help me so much, and have become so accustom to opening doors and pushing me around when I need it.

My family has been with me every step of the way and continue to be there for me. No one ever expects these types of things to happen to a loved one, but when or if it does it surely opens your eyes to the important things in life.

I will continue to press on as much as I can and thru hope and prayer.
