Sled Hockey 4 Adaptive Athletes

Looking for your support for these amazing athletes. They are headed for Boston in April for the USA Disabled Hockey Festival. Every challenged athlete has their own story, whether it was by fighting for our country, an accident, a medical condition, or from birth. Circumstances caused these strong minded individuals to push harder and make adaptive changes in their lives as well as extra curricular activites and sports. Many americans are living with a disabilty but fail to experience the possibilites of still being part of sports team. Sometimes we all take life for granted, even the simple things. These athletes overcome different and challenging obstacles in their everyday life. Just one day in their shoes is enough for one to really think about how strong these men and women are. Its eye opening. Attached are links, where you can see a few videos on some of our athletes. Taylor Lipsett and olympian in the making, another is Joseph, a triple amputee that has no limitations and does not get pushed around On or Off the ICE. He zooms around the ice like you would never believe. We have a great team heading to Boston hoping to bring back a WIN! They are all part of starskaters.org founded by Jim O'neill. This man is a godsend to these players, giving so much time and energy every weekend, along with Coach Reid and Ken, the "equipment gooroo...." There are many others that volunteer but these men are definately Angels, giving all their time for these players. Although only some of the more experienced players are heading to Boston, we do have some Starskaters as young as 7 or 8 yrs old. All these players have found something they look forward to doing every weekend. ICE time is important, they can't stand to miss it. Please support our players and spread the word to your friends. One less trip to Starbucks can make this goal a reality! It only takes a few minutes... Join in and Pay it Forward to some very deserving people. All funds will be used for Boston as well as for any other need like equipment, repairs of equipment, other tournaments, and events.
