A Smart Pup for Scarlett

Donation protected
Help us get Scarlett an assistance dog!

Scarlett was born in 2007 with a rare genetic disease, called Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia. In 2012, this disease caused her to become critically unwell. As a result, Scarlett suffered a severe brain injury. She was subsequently diagnosed with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and severe Epilepsy. Scarlett relies completely on the assistance and care of others to live her life.

How can a Smart Pups dog help Scarlett? A Smart Pups assistance dog is fully trained to assist Scarlett both in public, and at home. From simple things to opening a door, so she can access a room using her power wheelchair, to helping keep her safe and secure while out in the big wide world. Scarlett's dog will also be trained in seizure response and recovery. Scarlett will also benefit greatly from having a companion who can calm behaviour, sleep by her bed, and hopefully encourage social inclusion too.

We are so grateful for your help and donations, it is so appreciated. By donating towards a Smart Pup for Scarlett, you really are making a difference in another's life. Thankyou.
