<div>On December 17, my husband, Hugo Paredes, underwent open-heart surgery. In the early hours of December 18, he experienced a cardiac arrhythmia that led to complications affecting his brain. He is currently stable but remains in a very delicate condition. He is receiving therapy to help regain movement in his arms and legs, and his medical team continues to support his breathing with a ventilator. We are taking each day as it comes, holding on to faith and hope for a miracle. While the doctors have shared difficult expectations, we continue to believe with all our hearts.

<div>No one is ever prepared to face something like this, but we are doing our best to remain strong and hopeful. Donations will help support our family with essential day-to-day living expenses while my husband remains in critical care, allowing us to focus on his recovery during this challenging time.
