Rabie is an engineer from Gaza — and a writer by passion. From beneath droning planes and amid loss and destruction, he writes about faith, family, and the world around him. You can follow his words at @_rabiehussein on Instagram.
Gaza may have faded from the headlines, but its people have not faded from need. Aid barely trickles in, families live in tents among rubble, and Palestinians continue to die — from bombs, disease, and the absence of medicine.
Rabie has been displaced multiple times, lost friends and family, and had his home destroyed. He holds firmly to his faith and carries the weight of being the eldest son with quiet dignity.
This fundraiser is to help Rabie find shelter for his family and cover their daily needs — food, water, and survival.
We won the lottery of where we were born. Rabie did not.
