Payton Emily Powers was born July 28, 2014 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to proud parents Rex and Katelyn.
Payton was born with a congenital heart defect called Pulmonary Artesia with Intact ventricular septum. This means that her pulmonary artery and valve failed to form normally. This caused her blood flow to not be able to reach her lungs and create oxygenated blood. She went through 2 open heart surgeries before 5 days old.
This is just the beginning of her journey. Your prayers and kind thoughts are appreciated!
