Young children living in the slums of Delhi, India are forgotten. Void of public education, they fall between the cracks of society and eventually never catch up creating a downward spiral of even more poverty and a lack of basic education/social foundations.
Sunaayy Foundation uniquely steps into this void -
“Empowering underprivileged children with a childhood replete with nourishment, health, hygiene and education through a multi-grade sustainable learning system. To do this as a low cost initiative supported
by like minded individuals who wish to bridge the gap between expectations and outcome of government owned initiatives”.

An all-women team of teachers belongs to the same slum/community where most of the Sunaayy kids reside. Sunaayy has 4 operating centers of education for the most under-priviledged, at-risk children of Delhi, each with 3 staff/teachers supporting 40-50 students per school. Sunaayy is led and directed by its founder and lead-teacher Ms. Richa Prasant.
No other organization is stepping into this breach, but Sunaayy is making a true difference. Its success rate (building up young children's basic social and educational skills so they can be re-integrated back into Delhi's formal mainstream public education system in a sustained and successful way) is remarkable: Since 2009 Sunaayy has developed over 350 unique students with 200 students re-admitted back into mainstream public education.
A Low Cost Working NonProfit Model that has almost no infrastructural cost (operating out of temporary structures to be removed everyday) and can boast of directing virtually all its funds towards children welfare. Each school educates up to 50 students per year on a yearly operating expense budget of only $12,500 (that is only about $21/child/month).
This expanded GoFundMe campaign seeks to raise the cost for one school's yearly operating budget. Since the current school term has just started, these funds are needed for the 2017/2018 semester. The deadline for raising these funds is Januray 31, 2018.
My family and I have supported the Sunaayy Foundation for over 3 years now, and any amount you can provide for this urgent and unique cause/solution to help rescue absolutely the most vulnerable and "forgotten" children of Delhi would be sincerely appreciated and put to wonderfully productive use immediately.
Remember, your donation of even $21.00 covers the cost to educate one child for a month. A $250 donation will cover that child's education for the entire year!
