<div>On the 19th of July 2026, Dan Stanton &amp; Dan Wheeler as a team of eight former British soldiers and Royal Marines will take on an 11 day mountaineering expedition through the Swiss Alps in support of Veterans Army.

This is far more than a hike.

The team will face high altitude, snow covered peaks, glacier travel and ice climbing as they push themselves through one of Europe’s most demanding mountain environments.

The expedition will begin with a series of challenging summits, building experience and acclimatisation before attempting the ultimate objective, the Dom.

<div>The number of these mountains successfully climbed will depend on weather, conditions and the time required for each ascent. Every step is preparation for the final challenge.

The expedition will culminate with an attempt to summit the Dom, standing at 14,911 feet (4,545 metres), the second highest mountain entirely within Switzerland.
