Sue B. was already struggling to make ends meet after losing her full time corporate job several years ago.
Due to the economy and her age, she was unable to get another full time job. Scraping by on multiple part time jobs, she is in risk of losing them due to her recent cancer diagnosis.
She just underwent a double mastecomy this week and the prognosis demands chemo and many months of rehab. Unable to drive or lift more than a quart of milk due to the radical surgery, she faces losing the last of her part time jobs.
Her Obamacare insurance is barely covering the exorbitant medical bills already coming in and she is desperate.
She faces 6-9 months of chemo and radiation which will be terribly debilitating.
How can you beat cancer when you don't have enough money to feed yourself?
If you don't know her, let me tell you about my friend Sue who is a wonderful human being: she's loving, honest, talented, and giving.
Despite having very little and working 12 hour days in several part time jobs, she always managed to give back. She volunteered for Great Dane rescue, Cat rescue groups and the Garden State Cat Club(a nonprofit who raises money for feline research and shelters).
It's a challenge to fight cancer....it's a challenge to go it alone....and it's a challenge to find the funds to pay for all the medical bills.
