Make Manifest, a SIB Makers Space!

The Stuyvesant Indi Bazaar (SIB) is a labor of love born out of necessity. SIB began as a group of mothers and independent business owners with a vision of creating a space where we could generate income collectively. We wanted a safe space for our children to join us, fun for our clients to gather and comfortable enough to discuss issues that concern our wellness and community. This didn’t exist for us and so 5 years ago during the Winter Holiday season we found a small pop-up space in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn and Stuyvesant Indi Bazaar was born! Because we created a collaborative platform that honored creators, nurtured independent entrepreneurs, encouraged conscious consumerism and addressed concerns of our greater community, SIB grew larger and larger every year into bigger spaces and even expanded to a Summer night market.

Our current collaborators are:
Hekima Hapa, owner of Harriets by Hekima & founder of Black Girls Sew,
Aisha Joseph owner of InI Vibez,
Khadija Tudor co-owner of Life Wellness Center
Saki Fenderson co-founder of Tainted Love BK LLC.

We are mothers, business owners and most importantly visionaries. Together we "MAKE MANIFEST .

Our Vision:

Stuyvesant Indi Bazaar presents MAKE MANIFEST!
A coworking/cocreating space for makers, artist, creatives and entreprenuers.   Space will be partially member driven & also open to day rate options.

Make Manifest will house a curated retail market to serve as a vehicle for members.   A percentage of sales will go back to Make Manifest .
The co-creating members are required to participate in a pop up or workshop  once a month to drive business to the space.
We will continue to partner with local nonprofits to teach business workshops and grant writing classes to artist and makers to enhance there business foot print.

Our Mission:

Make Manifest is the evlotuion of Stuyvesant Indie Bazaar's commitment to cooperative economics.  It is a brick mortar makers space designed to insure growth of local & independent businesses.  An artistic platform based on economic equity and an environmental consciousness.

This entire process is absolutely surreal, yet the most natural progression in the 5th year of business and we are GRATEFUL!
