Stuebner Airline Veterinary hospital has been hit hard. They have been serving the community since 1970.
The doctors ( Max Heimlich , Jack Whitmore, Barry Schmitt and Laura Pratt) had the vision to work with the county and donate land for a dog park for the community to enjoy. They have enjoyed seeing the dogs running with their owners as they use the park. They also work with many rescue groups and special olympic , the local schools and the scouting troops. I for one can't wait to see them return quickly to be a big part of our community once again. They have been here so many years and never had a flood. Due to that fact they had not renewed their flood insurance. With the rising water that negates their insurance that they had. They have applied for a SBL with FEMA but the cost is over whelming. I know the doctors would rather be giving then receiving, but sometimes its time to just let others help them. We Love your Dr Whitmore, Dr Heimlich, Dr Schmitt and Dr Pratt. They are the most caring, compassionate, faithful and loyal doctors you could every ask for. They are not perfect but that adds to why we love them.
The entire staff at the hospital are here to stand behind them and watch them rise above all that Hurricane Harvey has dumped on them!!
