My name is Kaitlen and I would like to introduce you to some of my dearest friends, the Stover family. As many of you may already know the Stover's'- Brent, Kendra, Ryker and Skyler, you know they are some of the most caring, helpful and loving people you could meet. They are willing to help people they care about at all costs regardless of how little or big of an impact they will make; they are there for you. Well now it is our turn to help them. If you haven't already heard Kendra has been in the hospital since 11/01/2013 and will need to be there until further notice. She has been diagnosed with Guillain"“Barré syndrome and is having a difficult time recovering and responding to treatment.
If you are not familiar with Guillain"“Barré syndrome it is a disorder affecting the peripheral nervous system. Ascending paralysis, weakness beginning in the feet and hands and migrating towards the trunk, is the most typical symptom, and some subtypes cause change in sensation or pain, as well as dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system. It can cause life-threatening complications, in particular if the respiratory are affected or if the autonomic nervous system is involved. The disease is usually triggered by an infection. Brent hasn't been working and staying by Kendra's side since she has been in the hospital. We are hoping to raise any amount to help their family out with hospital bills and possible recovery treatment after Kendra is released.
