Trying to Make My Moms Dying Wish Happen

Donation protected

This is my mom and dad. Although my mom looks a lot older, she is only 56 years old. About a year ago, she was diagnosed with Stage IV brain cancer. The cancer has spread to several other parts of her body and this week, she was placed on hospice.
My fiancé and I have been planning a wedding for May 18, 2014. My mom has been so excited about the wedding and she has been doing everything in her power to make sure that she lives until the wedding in May. That has been her ultimate goal. However, on Thursday, October 24th, she got horrible news. There are 2 new tumors growing in her brain that were not there a month ago. The cancer has already taken her vision in her left eye and the right eye is rapidly going. She asked her oncologist how much time she has left and his response was simply, "not much". My mom told us on Monday that there is no way that she is going to live until May. She asked that we have a small ceremony down at her house in Southern California, we live in Northern California, so that she can be a part of the wedding. My fiancé and I want nothing more than to be able to honor her dying wish. It also would mean the world to us to have her signature on our marriage license as a witness.
After speaking with some friends, it was suggested that we try to raise money through this avenue. We had planned our wedding in Northern California and we still had 6.5 months to pay for things and prepare. Now, we are hoping to be able to pull this off at Thanksgiving. We simply do not have the money to travel down there, pay for our marriage license, wedding rings, small cake, lodging, photographer, etc to make this day special for my mom and for us. She deserves the world. She always worked hard to support me and my brother. She has been married to my dad since she was 18 years old. It is truly heartbreaking. I never imagined that she would be leaving this world at the young age of 56.
We are hoping to be able to raise enough money to cover the basic necessities for a small ceremony that will be memorable to our family. We are hoping to do this over Thanksgiving so that my mom also has the opportunity to have one last family holiday with me, my fiance, our kids, and immediate family.

If you can contribute to this we are eternally grateful for your help in making her be able to leave this world satisfied. If you can't afford to help financially at this time, we understand, times are tough, but would appreciate prayers and positive thoughts as well. Once we are in a position to pay this forward, we will. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
