Steve Parker Funeral/Medical Fund

Please help with funeral and medical expenses for Steve Parker.

Steve Parker, my "Uncle Stevie", lost his battle with melanoma Thursday, January 29, 2015, after a long, hard 4 year battle.

Those of you who knew Steve knew him a strong man who stood 6ft 4in tall.  He loved life.  He loved Hot Rods, boats, the beach, and Harleys, but most of all he loved his wife, Jean Parker, his family, his friends and his dogs.

Uncle Stevie was always full of life.  When he was at our family gatherings he would always crack jokes to make us laugh.  I'll never forget after undergoing a very painful surgery last year he was bedridden for so long that he lost all muscle mass in his body.  He had to learn to walk again, which was a painful process.  When I visited him at Hopkins he asked me to push the nurse call button, and when I did he made himself shake violently, purposely acting like I had electricuted him by pushing the button.  Only Stevie could keep his sense of humor through all that he had been through at that point.

Steve and Jean shared their lives together for 18 years, but only married this past August.  Marrying the love of his life brought him so much happiness and allowed him, if only for a short time, to change his focus from his battle with cancer to happiness as a married man.

When Steve was diagnosed with melanoma 4 years ago he was self employed.  He had no medical insurance, and no life insurance.  Because of this the medical bills have piled up beyond belief.  Adding funeral expenses on top of the medical bills are adding so much stress to Aunt Jean, so I have created this page to ask each of you to consider donating money to help with these expenses.

If you prefer to send a check directly to Jean please contact me using the email link and I will provide you with the address.  Please share this with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, or by email using the links below.

I thank you in advance for your love and support.  Hug your loved ones tight and never take one second for granted.
