Steve's TBI road to recovery
Donation protected
Steve went to see his mom for the last time. His mom was dying and the doctor said she only had 30 days to live. While visiting his mom Steve fell into some unfortunate circumstances and was assaulted by someone causing him to suffer a traumatic brain injury. His injuries were bleeding on his brain in several places plus a fractured skull. Being 2800 miles from home and in ICU in Dayton, Ohio caused chaos and stress for all of his family. While in the hospital for three weeks his mom passed away. Steve was released from the hospital in time to go to his mom's funeral. Steve has to do 2 weeks of outpatient therapy before returning to Washington State, where he will have to continue to do therapy. Steve remains unable to work due to the brain damage he received. We have been told it could take 3 months to a year to fully recover. We are very prideful people and asking for help is the hardest thing for us to do. We have exhausted all of our savings and my income doesn't cover our mortgage, it only covers our other bills. If you would like to help us we would be extremely grateful.
