TRIBUTE TO STEPHEN KEDDINGTON - Help for Memorial

Donation protected
It is with great sadness that we inform you that our beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend Stephen Keddington (Keddy) has passed away at 33 years old.  Stephen was involved in an unfortunate and tragic accident early Wednesday morning, January 16th, 2019 near Sandy, Utah (Fox 13 News Story 1, Fox 13 News Story 2, ABC 4 News Story)He is survived by his parents, Pat and Steve Keddington, his brothers Shane, Matt, Andy, and Jay, and their families.

Taken too soon, Stephen will be forever missed,
but he continues to live on in our hearts and minds.

Stephen was one of the BEST FRIENDS that anyone could ever ask for!  He was loved by everyone in his life!  His passion and love for life were just some of his many outstanding characteristics.  He was extremely outgoing and optimistic, and he was often referred to as "the life of the party!"  His smile lit up every room he walked into, and his laugh was contagious!  Stephen’s energy was magnetic, and he attracted people everywhere he went.  Stephen truly lived his life to the very fullest, surrounded by friends and family!

Samuel Johnson once said, "The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him no good.”

Well, Stephen was the type of person who treated everyone with love and respect, especially when it didn't do him any good.  He would constantly go above and beyond to help anyone he could.  He would literally give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, never expecting anything in return.  He was quick to extend his love and support to anyone in need.  He was someone you could always count on, no matter the circumstances.   He was an outstanding example for so many of us fortunate enough to share in his life and love.

Stephen was genuinely a great man, a loving and caring son, brother, uncle, and friend to all!  He was a huge support to so many people and his absence will forever be felt.

We are putting together this GoFundMe account to:
1.     Raise enough money to cover the costs of Stephen’s funeral and memorial services,
2.     Help alleviate some of the financial stress on Stephen’s family during this extremely difficult time,
3.     Celebrate Stephen’s life, so that he may live on in our hearts and minds, and
4.     Share our stories and memories of Stephen.

We humbly request that you support this causeMany of us could put ourselves in Keddy's shoes.  In a split second his life lost and his family's life was turned upside down.  While we can never replace what his family and friends have lost, we are only trying to do our small bit to help his family overcome some of the financial troubles by extending our support.  Our goal is to help raise enough money to cover all of Stephen’s final expenses and alleviate some of his families burdens and stress during this extremely sensitive and difficult time.  Stephen would have been the first to do this for any of us, so it is in his honor that we have decided to set this up All donations will go to Stephen’s parents – Pat & Steve Keddington.

Your generous and timely donation are sincerely appreciated.

Stephen Keddington, K-E-D-D-I-N-G-T-O-N. He was my best friend. He and his brothers taught me how to snowboard, how to drive, and how to navigate my life as a teen in Salt Lake City. We fished, hiked, and explored Utah together. Keddy got me my first job. We got Jeeps together. We Laughed and Cried together. He was the one who would drag me out of bed in the morning and the one I'd fall asleep watching movies with. Keddy always had something fun up his sleeve, whether it was just a good junk food meal or driving over some crazy obstacle he found for the Jeep.  We worked for years together at the car wash. We chased girls together and had so many great times.

The world lost a good man Wednesday morning. We lost him too early. Stephen left behind many good friends and a loving family. We will always remember his laugh and fondness for a good story, his every supportive and positive advice, and his ability to call a spade a spade. You were a good dude. We're going to miss you!

Stephen Keddington, aka KEDDY! "WE BE BUMPIN'!"   There are so many memories that come to mind, it is impossible for me to pick just one.  You've been one of my closest friends since we were in high school.  You quickly became someone that I could always count on to be there for me, no matter what!  We went through some of the best times and the worst times together!  You were always there when I called you asking for help or breaking down.  You would literally drop everything and come pick me up, talk for hours, give me a safe place to stay/sleep and food to eat!  You always seemed to understand what I was going through.  You've been like family to me Keddy, an older brother, someone I could rely on and confide in.  You showed me that there was hope, and that I am worth it!

Thank you Keddy!  Thank you for always being there for me, for supporting me, for being such a great friend, and especially thanks for all the good times - the smiles and the laughs!

I love you brother! I will forever miss you...

What a ride Stephen and I have been on for the last 3 years.  He knew just how to make me smile no matter what even when I didn't want to smile.  I have never been with someone who made me feel as beautiful and loved like he did.  He always made it a point to show me and tell just how beautiful I was and how much he truly loved me every single day.  The love of my life taken away from me way too soon.  We had so many different things we wanted to go do and see together.

Baby I love you and miss you so much.
