The Starr Twins have arrived!

On December 14th, 2017 Jordan and Evan Starr welcomed into the world their two little blessings, Sophia and Carson! Both babies were born via emergency c-section at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Jordan had been recently hospitalized on bed rest with Pre-Eclampsia and Gestational Diabetes and was being monitored closely. Born nearly three months early at only 28 weeks and 3 days there were several challenges from the get go. Sophia was born weighing 2 pounds 6 ounces and Carson weighing 1 pound 3 ounces. Both needed substantial medical supports initially and while both are progressing, they still face some significant medical challenges and long term NICU specialized care.

This Gofund me capaign is being created by loving friends of Jordan and Evan's so that the new parents can continue to be with and nurture Sophia and Carson daily while they are in the NICU. There are many stressors associated with premature birth of not just one but two babies intensifying the many significant medical, financial and emotional  challenges. One of the many stressors is the fact that the family has to meet their insurance deductible not only once but twice (for 2017 and 2018). The financial expense associated with these two little bundles of joy will be quite significant. The goal of this campaign is to assist in allieviating some of these financial burdens so that they can focus on their precious children.
