The Battle of Berkeley: Ride London

Earlier this year Berkeley Capital extended a challenge to St George....select 5 crazed members of staff to complete the Prudential Ride London 100 cycle race in 2017.
The challenge is simple, each team not only competes to see who can raise the most money collectively, but also which team finishes with the highest placed riders. The winning team not only gets to gloat unapologetically and take back the trophy to their respective company but in doing so gets to contribute to a very important cause, The Change Foundation.
Who are The Change Foundation?
The Change Foundation is a multi-award winning charity that engages with marginalised and at-risk young people, facing some of the world’s toughest challenges through the power of sport and dance. We empower them, educate them, train them and then provide them with opportunities to lead their own programmes, develop their own ideas and find new pathways to employment.
The Change Foundation has a passionate and dedicated team who work to make a real and lasting difference in young people’s lives. Our main focus and home is the UK – we work in all 32 London boroughs and have reached 10 cities across the country. But we also work globally, training other NGOs, partners, and sport clubs in our special programming.
In 2016 our Street Elite programme which is funded by The Berkeley Foundation was the recipient of two awards. Firstly, Street Elite won the charity partnership (property and construction) award at the Third Sector Business Charity awards. This was then followed in October by winning the Barclays sponsored Employability and Enterprise award at The 2016 Beyond Sport Awards. From over 350 entries reaching 60 different countries, the Beyond Sport Awards, supported by Comic Relief shortlist represents the standout and unique work being done by organisations across the globe.
