NAMM Foundation has offered the Spirit of Harmony Foundation a challenge grant, where your donations will be matched dollar for dollar up to $25,000! We invite you to support us as we advocate for music education!
Music has always played an important role in the human experience as an art form, a means of communication, and as a connection to each other. Learning to play music serves another vital role in the human experience by providing our children with essential skills and tools that will enable them to succeed in life - individually, academically, economically and socially. Yet, more and more music programs are either being cut or are facing cuts, jeopardizing our children’s opportunities for music education.
Famed musician and producer Todd Rundgren, along with his global fan family, believe a lack of music education is a cultural deficiency. Todd created the Spirit of Harmony Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, to provide support and funding to schools and other organizations; particularly to those teaching children how to play instruments and giving them the chance to express themselves through music.
The Spirit of Harmony Foundation, in conjunction with the Clinton School of Public Service, will present “The Moral Imperative of Music Education Symposium,” a panel of experts comprised of leaders in neurological research, social music education based programs, economics and music educators with media support of KUAR 89.1 FM Public Radio – Little Rock and The Point, 94.1 FM.
