As a paramedic, Wende spent her life helping others through some of their worst days. She is now facing some of her own as she has been diagnosed with Hashimotos, Thyroiditis, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and Lyme disease. She has been wheel chair bound and still has trouble getting out of bed and moving on her own. She needs a helping hand from those of us that love and know her and from a few perfect strangers (like the ones she spent so many years helping in their darkest hours and greatest time of need). The money raised from this site will go to help her recieve medical care in a hospital in Arizona that has the staff and facilities to help her but does not accept insurance. Every donation is a step closer to the treatment she needs. She may never be the person she was but with our help she can have a better quality of life with her young 11 year old daughter. A daughter who does not really remember the outgoing, fun, vibrant woman who always was fighting for what was best.. what was right, for all her patients! As most of us in EMS, Fire, LEO, RN and even Doctors we are the caregivers and hate to ask for help.. lol Right?!! Wende is no different :) I am asking for this awesome woman.. she needs the help from her "family"!
