All I want for Christmas - My Hearing.

This video was made as a school project by my 13 year old niece Chloe. I have NEVER heard her complain, or use her hearing issues as an excuse for anything. In fact she is probably the most unselfish 13 year old I have ever met. She is always bringing a smile to someone, and helping anyone she can. Unfortunately, she now needs to have another cochlear implant. This time on her right side. This procedure itself is in the neighborhood of $150,000.00, not including travel to and from the hospital, hotel bills for her family to be with her, and all the other issues that are involved.
Please help Chloe to hear again with a donation. Any extra funds raised will be donated to another girl near her who is also in need of an implant, if there are still funds left they will be donated to a charity of Chloe's choice.


Chloe's Story......

I started losing my hearing at age 3, my preschool teacher noticed it when I stopped answering and being aware of my surroundings. I first went to UK hospital and they identified that I was profoundly deaf in my left ear and going deaf in my right. So we decided to go to Cincinnati children's hospital, I wore hearing aids for 2 1/2 years until the point where they were no help. I was at the hospital every 2 weeks and then they decided to implant me at age 5. November 4, 2005, I was implanted in my left ear.

I'm now 13 years old, I turned 13 in may. I realized over the summer that I couldn't hear as well out of my right ear with my hearing aid. I figured it was just a hearing aid problem, September 28th I went up for a yearly checkup and discovered I was now profoundly deaf in my right ear. I'm now in the process of being implanted in my right ear, which means I will have 2 cochlear implants.
