SOPHIA RESCUE ORPHANAGE

Donation protected

Hello, my name is Juliet Stewart and I have created this campaign for my friend Bob & me.

What began with us simply saving few strays cats almost dead from the freezing winter, has grown into a small orphanage.

Bob has rescued over 80 cats and recently a few dogs that were going to be euthanized. Both of us have been financially stretched beyond limit!

Bob works tirelessly in catching the adult cats and getting them neutered/spayed. If they are too feral he lets them go -they stay very close as he feeds them every morning and night.

We also trap the pregnant cat and take good care of her and her newborn. Thereafter, they are taken at the vet making sure they are healthy so that we can begin to find loving homes.

Bob spends money that he barely has to take in stray cats, feral cats, cats just left in the woods and animals that people no longer want and are thrown out in the woods to fend for themselves. And now people are literally dumping their animals on Bob’s porch in a box… needless to say, it’s getting out of control!

We take them in (no questions asked); we feed them, we rehabilitate them, we try tirelessly to find them home & Bob tests our vet’s generosity up to and beyond the breaking point regularly and without shame to get them proper care when they need it; that includes spaying/neuter to prevent them from creating endless homeless cats.

I have supported Bob financially for the last six years. Bob did not set out to be a cat savior but when he moved near Woodstock, New York, he could not help but save these cats from the harsh winter – many found throughout the winter were almost frozen to death. In fact, the picture of the kitten for this campaign is one of them -his name is Frankie. I took him and his brother.

Our goal is to purchase land and build a Sanctuary for unwanted animals and save animals from kill shelters. We are in the process of applying for a non-for-profit. This is our dream!

We often call up different No-Kill shelters for help but everyone is so overcrowded. We also ask for assistance for food and litter from food pantries for animals but they are only allowed to give out one bag per person.

I am not a non-profit; he is not an organization, but he is a remarkable man who deserves as much support as he can get. Any money you contribute on the GoFundMe request, 100% of funds will be used for food, litter and vet care. Guaranteed.

We are just two people trying to save these innocent animals without any funding. The following is a breakdown of what has been spent weekly for basic needs.

$140 / Litter
$120 / Dry Cat Food
$210 / Canned $130 / Dog food
$40 / Cleaning supplies (he is OCD - a clean freak :)

Total $640 a week  + $$$ Veterinary cost .

Please help us this winter. We could never turn our back on them.

No matter how little or large you donate to this heartfelt cause, we are grateful to you.

With all our love, we thank you for your graciousness...
