Sonia Pilar Petrick Memorial Fund

On Thursday June 20, 2013, Sonia, a devoted wife and loving
mother, who cherished family and friends, lost her four year battle with
Ovarian Cancer. In lieu of flowers, Sonia requested that
family and friends make contributions in her honor of any amount to help continue
the research and fight against cancer.
While family and friends can donate directly to any organization, all contributions made here will be split between two separate organizations. The first, at the recommendation of her long time trusted and respected Oncologist and friend, is the Gynecological Cancer Foundation (GCF), which focuses on gynecological cancer awareness and provides support for necessary research programs. The second organization is La Linga Contra el Cancer, which collaborated with Florida International University (FIU) for an athletic event which raised money to provide financial assistance to those individuals and families affected by Cancer of a loved one. Sonia was recognized at this athletic event by FIU for her courageous battle against Ovarian Cancer.
A Memorial Service for Sonia will take place at Central Bible Church on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 9:30am. Central Bible Church is located at 1300 SW 87th Ave, Miami FL. 33174. All family and friends wishing to attend are welcomed to join us.
