So what’s it all for? This is the important mission you will be supporting by attending:
As you read this, over 1050 dogs are living in a shelter in northern Thailand (Buriram), having been rescued by Soi Dog Foundation. Some of them have been rescued from a lifetime of misery and suffering on the streets, others have been saved from Asia’s barbaric dog meat trade. Many have grown up on the streets, never knowing the safety of a home or a family to call their own. But your support can change this.
Your participation in Soi Dog Canada’s fundraiser can fund the transportation of a rescued dog to a new life in Canada. The longer these dogs remain in a shelter environment, the greater the risk of them not receiving enough human interaction and socialization, due to the sheer numbers being cared for. Some dogs have been there years – we need to get them out before it is too late for them. Many have never known kindness, safety, enough food to eat, a soft place to sleep, or love.
By donating to Soi Dog Canada’s Buriram Fundraiser, you will be taking action to change the future for a suffering dog.
Funds raised from this event will be used to sponsor flights of life, to get these dogs to loving homes of their own.
