SoCal Derby has made it into the WFTDA tournaments this year, for the 1st time ever! Please help us get to Charleston, WV, by donating to our travel fund. All donations will be used toward team member travel to the WFTDA tournaments.

SoCal Derby formed June 1st 2011 and played our first game (against AZRD) in September (and won with lots of help from friends from all over Southern Ca). We joined WFTDA and played our first *sanctioned* game almost two years later to the day in June of 2013 (and lost to AZRD). We entered the WFTDA ranks at #95 in November of 2013. By December, we were up to #61! After sweeping Spudtown Knockdown for 1st place in April, we were up to #34 in the WFTDA ranks. We made our merge official with South Coast Roller Derby - our members now span from LA to Tijuana! - in June of this year, and that's when the Kraken took the plunge and accepted the invitation to the Golden Bowl, to play then-ranked #2 Bay Area, #6 ACDG & #11 Windy City. We took our licks - and our first losses since joining WFTDA! - and played two more games the following weekend (against Sin City and Sacred City), and now we're ranked #38 - and on our way to Charleston!
