Assistance for Pam and Dennis

We are all thankful for everyone’s calls, concern, meals and prayers for improvement in Pam’s health. Unfortunately, Doctors have determined that another transplant is not an option at this time due to the deterioration of her overall condition. 

Tasks as easy as standing, bathing, and dressing are impossible without assistance as she is too weak and loses her balance easily. The smile never leaves her face, but her daily struggle continues as she tries to adapt to her new challenges.  We would like to remove some of the barriers that make things difficult, and modify the bathroom and bedroom to accommodate in-home dialysis and support her independent mobility.  

Medical bills will exist as long as imperfection holds us hostage, but we could use help in covering additional expenses that will result from making the bathroom more accessible.  The existing tub and shower need to be removed and replaced, grab bars and railings will be added to the walls, and plumbing work done. Many continue to ask what they can do to help, so we created this account to allow for donations to help with the cost of modifying the bathroom and bedroom for Pam to have access.  

These modifications would not only make daily living less challenging for Pam, but  would lessen the burden of worry for her family, who cannot leave her alone without fear of her falling.  We need to continue to work to cover our needs, but at the same time we need Pam to be safe and have full access to what she needs while she’s  at home.
