Just about everyone knows a family member or friend who has sustained a concussion, perhaps in school sports or the playground. What was the response from the school? Were the supports in both the athletic "Return to Play" and academic “Return to Learn" phases as you expected?
Possibly. But experts agree there is great need for improvement in training school personnel in all aspects of concussion management.
We are The Brain Trust, LLC, a small technology company committed to our social mission of meeting this need.
SmartResponse™ is the first comprehensive, community-wide concussion training solution for schools. Teachers, counselors, coaches, administrators and staff all benefit through effective learning of critical skills with SmartResponse. Schools benefit from the latest information on best practices for improving outcomes. Most of all, students benefit by receiving the care and support they need from their school.
SmartResponse is a Serious Game where school faculty, staff and administrators play the game and experience an immersive, engaging and highly effective training experience to attain the competencies needed to best serve their students, schools and communities. This is not the same old boring “multi-media” training you are used to: SmartResponse is a fully-interactive 3D photorealistic gameworld in which you play a key role!
Right now, we are hard at work on SmartResponse Lite for release to schools and colleges. Everyone on The Brain Trust team is committed to the mission and all the senior team serves on a voluntary basis. To continue the progress we’ve made we need funding.
Our goal for this campaign is to raise $50,000, which will allow us to complete and launch our current effort with SmartResponse Lite. We are offering some very nice rewards for your support:
$25 and up: We’ll put your name on our website as a donor
$75 and up: We’ll put your name in the SmartResponse Lite credits
$150 and up: You may sponsor a school for SmartResponse Lite
$250 and up: You can personalize a character in SmartResponse Lite
The biggest reward will be that you are helping us to help schools to “Do The Right Thing” to do the very best possible for their students who have experienced a concussion. Thank You!
