Winter is here and the nights are sure getting cold!
I know we all want to help those in need, but it's so hard to figure out where to start or what to do.. so I thought, a sleeping bag can be useful for anyone, provide warmth on these cold nights, they are more hygienic than blankets, and they are easy to roll back up and put away when needed. So with that in mind, I'm hoping to make these cold winter nights a little warmer for the homeless and I would love to have your help to reach as many people as we can!
The goal is to provide at least 125 sleeping bags (but of course, the more the merrier!) and give them out to the homeless in downtown LA for Christmas. After some research, the cost per sleeping bag is approximately $25, so I'll be collecting as much as possible for these next two and a half weeks and give them away on Christmas Eve. If you are around and want to join me to give them out.. I welcome all the help and love!
So, as we think back on how fast this year went by, and all the amazing things that we lived and we are grateful for, let's also remember those who are not as fortunate to have a home, a bed, a blanket.. and "Be kind..for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle"..
