Skye\'s Greatest Shave for Zach
You\'ve probably heard of the World\'s Greatest Shave fundraiser. Well, this is my personal fundraiser to help a dear friend battling Ewing\'s Sarcoma in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA.
Why?
Zachary (16 yo) was diagnosed with this very aggressive childhood cancer a couple of years ago and has been battling hard ever since. A finer young man I have never met. His grace, faith and kindness always shine through despite the most harrowing of circumstances and it\'s time to give back.
What?
So I\'m piggybacking on the Greatest Shave events this year and am asking you to sponsor me to provide some much needed funds for medical care and general expenses. I plan to shave my head by the end of March and perhaps entertain you by dyeing it a crazy colour between now and then so I would like you to show your support by donating some much needed moolah!
How?
Any amount is greatly appreciated: $1, $5, $20 - it will all help. The proceeds will be provided to Zach and his mom Kat to help them cover necessary costs that are simply not covered by insurance. I have set a modest goal of $750 but would be absolutely chuffed if we could double that.
To keep things interesting, when you make a donation you can also vote for a crazy hair colour in the Comments section. Each dollar donated will count as one vote (i.e. two people voting for blue who donate $25 and $50 will count as 75 points). The hair colour with the most vote points by March 16th (Australia time) will be the winner until I shave it all off on April Fools Day. There\'s only two weeks to vote so get in quick!
