Must Move My Family!

Hi! My name is Rhonda Arms and I need a little help. The home we currently rent is falling apart, and it seems the homeowner has no intention of making the necessary repairs. The house was hit by a falling treee in February and the roof is still leaking, mostly in the Master BR area of the home. There is black mold in the closet, and the (damaged) ceiling and (wet) insulation has been removed, leaving the MBR open to the bare rafters. My room is covered in roof schmutz, and every time it rains the leaks are back with a vengence. I am now sleeping under a 10x10 'tailgating' tent just to be able to use my room. The homeowner has stated that she will not be renewing my lease, which is up July 31. I have contacted the Magistrate regarding the renter's rights and laws in SC, but am told to leave first and then file suit. Because I am still [aying the rent, plus all the bills, I am having a tough time raising the funds to move. My biggest concern is the kids and their welfare. I am a single mom of four wonderful kids, I work hard to keep us afloat, and I am honest and reliable. I have tried to make this work, but the homeowner insists the conditions are 'absolutely liveable.' The final straw was the squirrel in my room last night that bounced off my 'tent' and ran forward into the attic area of the house. We really MUST move!
