Get Siena to Belize-Global Outreach

Belize is home to an incredible, mix of cultures and languages including English, Spanish, and multiple  Mayan dialects. Despite the fact that the national language is English, many children grow up in rural areas speaking native languages, and later must confront standardized tests in English.  

The aim of this program is to educate children in the English language, to work with them on reading and reading-aloud skills and to create an amazing summer experience for all involved.   

I will be working alongside adults and fellow students to create a curriculum that engages the children and encourages them to learn English in a fun and exciting environment. I hope to integrate aspects of study methods that I have used throughout my Delphi education to contribute to our lessons. 

Teaching children is a passion of mine, and getting to make such a huge impact on their lives would be a dream. Please help me reach my goal to make it possible to go on this amazing service trip and make a difference in these children's lives
