Approximately 250 children are in the Shoals Area (Colbert/Lauderdale) foster care system on any given day.
Approximately 30 children enter the foster care system every single month - an average of one child per day.
Leadership Shoals 29 wants to ensure these children have access to duffle bags which they may use to gather their belongings when they are displaced from their home.
And, we’d like to help pack these duffle bags with personal care items and other necessities – as well as a few goodies! – to help ease this transition.
