My Volunteer Trip

I am Sherri Knowlton, and I am asking you to partner with me as I return to South Africa in March of 2018. I fell in love with these wonderful people more than 10 years ago and now I have the opportunity to introduce my eldest granddaughter, MacKenzie, to them. We will travel to the Mpumalanga Province of South Africa and host a Bible Club ministering to the growing number of orphans and vulnerable children while they are on holiday from school. Accompanied by our friends Patti Mason, Tim and Kathy McAlaster and Pam and Joey McCulloch, we will offer a safe, fun and loving place for these children to spend their days.

Partnering with local pastors, we plan to share the gospel with these children, engage with them in various activities and, with the help of Hand in Hand in Africa, we will feed up to 200 children a day. For many of these children this will be their only meal of the day. We will also be presenting many of the young ladies with hygiene kits and teaching them how to use them so they will be able to attend school regularly.

There is such a great need in South Africa and I know that many of you have expressed a desire to go with us but you are unable. By partnering with us you will be able to participate in changing the lives of many young, rural South Africans.
