One night in 2011 my sister woke up in pain and was taken to the emergency room. It was decided she needed a complete hysterectomy, the surgery was a success  but several days later she received the devastating news...it was cancer. She went thru 6 chemo treatments which included wearing a chemo pump and again was told it was a success, the cancer was gone. Fast forward to October 2014, after a routine check-up she again received the news that the cancer was back, this time in her lymph nodes. The chemo started right away and after the first few treatments her blood work showed the cancer markers were back to normal. She finished the remaining treatments and we celebrated her beating the cancer for the second time. Only 3 weeks after the final treatment she started having problems and once again she was told after a CT scan that all nodes had cleared but one. The oncologist wanted to do target radiation on the one area. After 3 attempts she was sent to ER because it was too painful for her to even lie on the radiation table even with morphine. She was admitted into the hospital for 9 days. The pain was from her kidneys being swollen, she now has stents in both kidneys to help them drain. She also had a large blood clot in the left leg. She has started treatments once again but all the chemo and cancer has taken its toll on her. With the cancer in her lymph nodes her legs are so swollen she can hardly stand, she is in pain most of the time, and very little food will stay down. Prayers are needed but so is financial help, medical expenses are rising, she has no disability coverage and it's been sometime since she has been able to work. Thank you for your consideration.
