Shalom, my name is Cynthia Shepherd.  I am an evangelist/missionary  to Israel and Mexico and currently live in Phoenix, Arizona.  I am furthering my education in Biblical studies with Global University.  Funding and prayers are always welcomed and appreciated.  




I dedicate this gofundme campaign in honor of my awesome father, Robert, who went home to our Lord in June of 2012.  He believed in me and always told me that I could do anything that God wanted me to do.  Thank you Dad!

Happy New Year 2018!  Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support.  My  missions trip to Mexico  was a success.  I was invited to return with a team.  I will be returning with my team in March.  My focus this trip is team building .  In the past, I was at the Esperanza orphanage primarily to teach English as a second language.  The orphanage has about 40 boys and girls aged 2 through 20.  So much more was accomplished through relationship building by waking up at 4 a.m. to help prepare breakfast and serve the children, working directly with the kitchen help, praying with the adults as well as the children , riding shotgun in the school bus to downtown Puerto Penasco with the children to various levels of schools and of course my Spanglish.  Being able to communicate greatly enhanced the teaching and praying.  This trip I did not have to use hand gestures and drawings as much as in the past.  I felt accepted as part of their BIG family!  The directors and students taught me so much about themselves and their culture.  The high school age does not go to Prepratory school until 2 p.m..  I had time in the morning to pray and teach the high schoolers.  Prayer requests for the orphanage....A 10 yr. old boy with a brain tumor and more administrative help.  The director and asst. director work 24/7 and need breaks to be with their own families.

As you know, I was also in prayer concerning an opportunity to return to Israel during 2016.  As many of you know, my heart belongs to Israel!  Please continue to pray for the Shalom peace of Jerusalem.

This trip to Mexico is in preparation for my mission trip to Uganda/Israel in June of 2016.  Our team will be ministering in various villages and support the Pastors and churches through outreach.  Exciting. Update March 12, 2018. New Beginnings.....Bienviendos (welcome) to my new ministry partner, my husband Michael!  We just returned yesterday, 3/12/ 18 , from a missions trip to Casa Hogar para los ninos, Mexico.   Michael did not want to come home and go back to work.  He enjoyed ministering to the staff and children.  He had his first authentic Mexican cuisine thanks to their cook, Isabelle.   The trip was tiring...no sleep at the hotel because of the students being on spring break.  This was a quick trip because we are waiting in prayer for Michael’s new job.  Thank you for your continued prayers and donations.  Muchas Gracias!
