Shaw Family Flood Relief

My dear friends Chris & Liz Shaw, along with their 5 beautiful children lost everything in the Hurricane Harvey flood. They are very fortunate to have made it out safely by boat, with water above the street signs and rising. 

Once the water goes down, and they can safely return to their house, the Shaws will begin the long process of tearing everything out and rebuilding, not to mention replacing countless material belongings. I get overwhelmed thinking about all the things required just to maintain day-to-day operations for a family of 7, but Liz & Chris are two of the most resilient people I know. There have been many friends and neighbors reaching out and offering to help the Shaws, so we have set up this GoFundMe page as a way to consolidate those efforts. 

Foremost, Liz & Chris are thankful for your prayers. If that is what you can offer them, you are offering the most valuable help they could possibly get. If you are able to help in a material way, the most impactful thing you can do is financially contribute to their recovery journey. There are many basic needs coming up faster than they can think to ask for. The money we are able to gather for them will be used to support their immediate needs as they arise, including food, lodging, and building supplies.
