Shaving my Hair June 15th to Donate it!!

Hi! I'm Samantha and I will be shaving my head on June 15th to donate my hair to A Child's Voice! Their Angel Hair for Kids program provides wigs and hair loss solutions to financially disadvantaged children in Canada who have lost their hair due to conditions such as cancer treatments, alopecia and even burns.
This is something that I've been thinking I'd like to do for several years. I've been growing my hair out, and it's longer than it's ever been! While I'm nervous about losing my hair, I'm also excited to be able to help a child during a difficult and sometimes painful time in their lives. My hair will grow back, but for many of these children - it won't. The prostheses and solutions the foundation give to these children aim to help them face their condition and daily life with a greater confidence.
It takes between ten and twelve donated ponytails to make one hair prosthesis and $800 to $1000 is budgeted by the foundation to cover manufacturing and related costs. That's where I'd like your help! I'd like to be able to send the entire cost of manufacturing one wig with my hair donation. I have set the goal at $1,100 to account for percentage taken by the GoFundMe and PayPal to cover their credit card expenses. All donations will be sent directly to A Child's Voice with my hair. Any donations over $20 (after credit card fees - about $22) will receive a tax receipt from the foundation. For more information about the foundation, visit their website:

I have measured my hair, and it varies in length from about 16" - 20" depending on the layer. You can choose from one of the pre-set pledge amounts below, based on an average length, or any amount you choose. Please know that I appreciate any and all help towards reaching this goal!
