Sharol Carlson has really endured great hardships during her life, especially during the last 5-6 years since I have been blessed to know her, but her obediance to God has never waivered, although she had many reasons to ask "Why?".

Please prayfully consider helping my sister, Sharol.
On August 26, 2017 Sharol fell while at home, shattering both of her femurs. She was rushed to Shawnee Mission Hospital, and on Monday, August 29, had surgery, inserting 2 titanium plates to repair the shattered bones.
Sharol suffers from numerous medical issues, which include juvenile diabetes since she was 12, both knees replaced in 2002/2003, a kidney transplant in 2009, gallbladder surgery in 2016 and numerous other issues including osteoporosis. Due to her osteoporosis, the injury will prevent her from being able to bend her legs for at least 6 weeks, and she will be unable to put any weight on her legs for 3 months or more depending on the healing process. The doctor stated, that her bones may never heal properly or be strong enough for her to walk again.
When she was released from the hospital, she was transferred to a rehab/skilled nursing facility. Insurance paid for about 2 weeks of her stay. Since she cannot put any weight, she cannot get physical therapy/rehab for her legs. And since she cannot rehab her legs, insurance will not pay for her to stay in any kind of a rehab/skilled nursing facility, even though it requires 2 additional persons to help her move from her bed to her wheelchair, the two places she will be for the next several months. She is still in the facility, but currently is paying for her stay out of her own funds. The fees include a daily rate of $275, plus she has to pay $90 for transportation to any doctor’s appointments outside of the facility. The length of stay is uncertain, but will be 3 to 6 more months. Sharol does have private insurance, and the hospital stay and surgery were covered.
The need is immediate and with each passing day grows larger. Above any financial contributions, please pray for Sharol, that her healing will continue, and that she will be strong enough to begin putting weight on her legs in 3 months. Also, pray for positive outlook and understanding of her current situation.
Sharol is a humble person, and would not ask for assistance. I am asking on her behalf.
