Shane Nigrin - Family Fund

Shane was a fellow classmate and teammate at Calvert Hall. Though I hadn't seen him in years, when I heard the news, I couldn't believe what I had heard. Another classmate passed and we haven't even had our 10 year reunion yet. This one is extremely heart-breaking as Shane was engaged to be married and expecting to be a father in September. He was on the right track. His life will surely be remembered through the birth of his child and all of the great memories we share of Shane.
Shane was a beast on the lacrosse field. His personality unlike anyone else, a unique individual for sure. He certainly "marched to the beat of his own drum". Shane was always ready with a quick witted remark and definitely not one to pick on. He could dish it out, but could also take it. Shane and I were always in constant competition as we played the same position in lacrosse. We had our share of battles, none the less we would always end up friends after. Both hard-headed I guess. I'll never forget Tuesday night fights in the locker rooms at Calvert Hall, I doubt any of our teammates will either. They are still talked about til this day. Thank god cell phones couldn't record at that point in time!
Though there is little doubt that his child will be well taken care of, this fund has been setup in remembrance of Shane to make life just a little bit easier for his fiance and family to take care of the child. All of the proceeds will be given to his fiance to support her in raising their child.
All donations to this page will go directly to Shane's fiance and future child.

Additionally a happy hour, which is set to benefit another fellow classmate who passed (Dustin Bauer) has been set for July 11th at Jimmy's Famous Seafood in Dundalk. It begins at 6:30pm and ends whenever people leave. In addition to benefiting Dustin's memorial fund, we will be holding a 50/50 raffle and also auction off some nice stuff of which all the proceeds will be added to whatever is raised through this website. In August there are hopes to hold a crab feast in Shane's memory which will be baby shower themed, assuming the family is up to it. The crab feast will fully benefit the family, his fiance, and child. Details to come!
