Thank you for taking the time to visit my GoFundMe! I am in my 2nd Year of Law School and I'm looking forward to ending this year strong. I am a the mother of a brillant 14 year old and I also work part time. I was able to cover the expenses for my 1st year out of pocket but my new school is more expensive and I can not afford the costs so I am reaching out to you! Please help me reach my goal to pay tuition for one year! Any amount helps and it will help me accomplish my dreams! Also, your donation is 100% Tax Deductible!
I am extremely passionate about human rights issues. I am most concerned about the quality of life and legal rights of black bodied people in America. However, I believe in equality and freedom for everyone so my work does not stop at my community. My volunteer work include organizing in the Movement For Black Lives, Black Lives Matter Los Angeles, providing court support to defendants in criminal litigation as well as victims of police brutality, and mentoring young ladies in Compton, Ca via the BLOOM Mentoring Program. I am also a member of the National Lawyer's Guild where I am a Legal Observer, on the Legal Observer's Committe, and also a member of the Black and People of African Descent Task Force. I will use the skills I attain in law school to advocate and effectuate positive changes in my community and beyond.
My tuition is currently $15,500 per semerter. That does not including books or supplies. Your contribution will help me continue my studies and I will owe you a lifetime of Love, Gratitude, and Appreciation. You will help me move one step closer to being a Criminal Defense/Human Rights Attorney! I plan to keep this fundraiser open until January 2019, or until I reach my goal.
