Combo Breaker 2016 is the continuation of a new tradition for the SGC, and once again, it'll be one of the best and biggest tournaments Skullgirls has ever seen! Last time, we brought Brazil to Chicago, along with a special East coast addition. This year, we're going even farther out... into the dark lands of NOT THE AMERICAS!
This time, for the 2016 Skullgirls World Championship, we're shipping 'em in from across the Atlantic, and across the Pacific! As dictated by voting on Skullheart.com, out first player is…
159man, a Japanese player who recently made a huge splash with the western SGC by playing an amazing set in a recent USA vs JP exhibition. Will he be able to claim the Skullgirls crown for Japan?
If we’re able to get him funded, next up is…
zeknife, the Swedish player who’s never had the spotlight, but always had the respect of the players who’ve crossed his path. Will this be his time to shine?
And, should we get those two funded, we’ve got two more great players:
Sig, and Yaya! Like 159man, Sig hails from japan, but Yaya comes from the frozen north, the dark, inhospitable, untamed wilderness that is… Canada!
Exact costs for each won't be known until we purchase tickets and hotel rooms on the day we close the campaign, but our estimates are at about $800-$1000 for each payer.
So, there it is! Four great players that will help Combo Breaker 2016 be the best it can be, but first, we have to raise the money! We’re aiming WAY higher than last year! Every little bit helps, so give what you can, and share the campaign!
