DRAMA SCHOOL DREAM

My dream has come true and I have been offered a place to study acting and theatre at the Institute of Arts Barcelona!! It is a 3 year BA (Hons) course awarded by the John Moore University in Liverpool, England and run in the english language.
However, the tuition fees are more than I can afford...
I am german and here the top drama institutes have very low to no fees. So why don't I study in Germany? Since I was 4 years old I have been attending a part-time theatre school called Stagecoach. When I started it was very new in Germany and the training is innovative and multi-disciplinary. I learned to sing and dance as well as act. I learned so much about performing and I have even become a coach now!
In Germany the schools have a different concept of teaching: it is still very much sing OR dance OR act. The British style of training contains more movement and voice work, integrating all the skills I love andI know it would allow me to reach my potential. PLUS - I love to perform in english - which would give me even more opportunities in my future career.
Among other roles, I have played The Tin Man in „The Wizard of Oz“ and Beauty in „Beauty and the Beast“. I was a member of the performance group „Black Diamonds“ 2013 - 2018 with which I performed in many well-known theatres such as the Schlossparktheater Berlin, Altonaer Theater Hamburg, Stadttheater Fürth and the Volksbühne on Rudolfsplatz Köln
I also performed in the internationally casted Stagecoach Summer Showcase Productions such as „Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat“ (2015), „Little Shop of Horrors“ (2016) and „Footloose“ (2018) in London.

Since finishing school last year I have been performing with the ensemble Shakespeare Frankfurt. In autumn 2018 I played the role of Martha in Henrik Ibsens' „An Enemy of the People“ at the International Theater Frankfurt and this summer in Shakespeares' „Macbeth“ I was one of the Witches in an Open Air production in the Frankfurt Botanical Gardens. An Enemy of the People
It would mean so much to me to study at the IAB. I attended a summer school there this year and felt so at home. In the UK there are plenty of scholarships available for arts education. But they are not available to me. IAB have given me an extension to raise money but I need to confirm by 23.8 that I have the funds to start the training in September. A boost from gofundme donors would make the difference between a yes and a no.
I want to work as an actress because I’ve always been my happiest on stage. Working with different roles in different settings has been my escape when times were tough and my wings when all was good. I also wish to explore more camera acting and film work.
Theater has been in my life since I was 4 years old and given the chance I will live in theater for the next 50.

Mein Traum wurde wahr und ich habe ein Angebot bekommen Schauspiel und Theater am Institute of the Arts Barcelona zu studieren!! Es ist ein 3 Jahres Bachelor Programm, verliehen von der John Moore Universität Liverpool, England und wird auf Englisch unterrichtet.
Leider sind die Studiengebühren höher als ich es mir leisten kann…
In Deutschland haben Schauspielschulen sehr geringe Studienbeiträge, wie auch alle anderen Studiengänge. Also warum studiere ich nicht in Deutschland? Im Alter von 4 Jahren habe ich in einer Teilzeit-Theater Schule namens Stagecoach begonnen. Stagecoach war damals noch ganz neu in Deutschland und das Training dort ist innovativ und fachübergreifend. Ich habe gleichermaßen gelernt zu singen und zu tanzen, wie auch zu schauspielern. Ich habe so viel über das Performen gelernt und bin inzwischen sogar selbst ein Stagecoach-Coach!
Deutsche Theaterschulen unterrichten auf eine andere Art und Weise. Man wird immer noch eingeteilt in Sänger ODER Tänzer ODER Schauspieler. Der britische Trainingsstil verbindet alle Disziplinen in einer Art und Weise, die mich glauben lässt mein volles Potential zu erreichen. Zudem liebe ich es auf Englisch zu Schauspielen und glaube dadurch später mehr Möglichkeiten auf internationaler Ebene zu haben.
Bei Stagecoach spielte ich unter anderem der Blechmann in „der Zauberer von Oz“ und die Belle von „Die Schöne und das Biest“. Außerdem war ich Teil der gecasteten Aufführungsgruppe „Black Diamonds“ von 2013 bis 2018, mit der ich in den deutschen Theatern wie dem Schlossparktheater Berlin, Altonaer Theater Hamburg, Stadttheater Fürth und der Volksbühne am Rudolfsplatz in Köln auftreten durfte. Auch in großen international gecasteten Stagecoach Produktionen wie „Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat“ (2015), „Little Shop of Horrors“ (2016) und „Footloose“ (2018) stand ich in London auf der Bühne.
Seit ich mein Abitur abgeschlossen habe, habe ich in zwei Shakespeare Frankfurt Produktionen mitgespielt. Im Herbst 2018 durfte ich die Rolle der Marta in Henrik Ibsens „An Enemy of the People“ im internationalen Theater Frankfurt spielen und war im Frühling/Sommer 2019 in Shakespeares „Macbeth“ eine Hexe in einer Open Air Produktion im Botanischen Garten Frankfurt. Es würde mir so viel bedeuten am Institute of the Arts Barcelona zu studieren. Vor einigen Wochen habe ich bei einer Summer School vor Ort mitgemacht und habe mich dort so wohl gefühlt. In England gibt es viele Stipendien für Performing Arts Studiengänge, für mich sind diese leider nicht zugänglich. In Deutschland gibt es solche Stipendien nicht. IAB hat mir eine Verlängerung der Studienplatzannahme ermöglicht, um die Gelder zu beschaffen, aber bis Mitte August muss ich meinen Platz bestätigen und bestätigen, dass ich die Mittel habe, mir das Studium zu leisten.
Eine Unterstützung von gofundme Spendern macht den Unterschied zwischen dem JA oder NEIN.
Ich will als Schauspielerin arbeiten, denn ich war schon immer am glücklichsten auf der Bühne. Mit verschieden Rollen zu arbeiten und Geschichten zu erzählen war schon immer mein Zufluchtsort und mein „happy place“. Auch in den schwierigsten Zeiten konnte ich dort immer Freude finden.
Theater ist in meinem Leben seit ich 4 Jahre alt bin und wenn ich die Chance bekomme werde ich im Theater für die nächsten 50 Jahre leben.
